Johnny Mack Hamm

Johnny Mack Hamm, 82 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.  He was born in Valdosta, Georgia to the late James Mack and Polly Ann Nash Hamm.  Mr. Hamm was a veteran of the United States Navy and moved to Lake City following his service in the Navy in the 1950’s.  He was a member of the Lake City Masonic Lodge #27 for over 50 years.  Mr. Hamm was of the Baptist faith and member of the First Baptist Church of Lake City.  He was a co-owner of American Title Services in Lake City and he enjoyed being outdoors, boating, golfing, horses and spending time with family and friends at the river.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Hamm Giebeig, one brother, Jimmy Carl Hamm and one sister, Mattie Lou Prescott.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Davis, Lake City; his son, Mark Hamm (Alison), Sorrento, FL; one daughter, Michele Padgett (Chad), Lake City; one sister, Annie Lou Pope, Lake City; 4 grandchildren, Aubrey Wilkerson (Jimmy), Branford, Marie Gallo (Steven), Jacksonville, Brian Hamm, Sorrento and Morgan Cushman, Lake City; and two great-grandchildren, McKayden Wilkerson and Wren Wilkerson both of Branford.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Zack Douglas officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 1:00 to 1:45 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
