Mr. Kristopher James Dukes, 29 of Ft. Lauderdale, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Kindred Hospital in Ocala. Kris was born in Plantation, Florida and was a graduate of the University of Florida in 2009 with a Bachelor Degree of Science. He was a Christian by faith and enjoyed building computers, playing video games, drawing and anything with technology. Kris was preceded in death by his sister, Jesica Dukes; Paternal Great-Grandparents, Ezekiel and Dicie Dukes, and Willie “Bud” Chafers; Maternal Great-Grandparents, Henry and Mattie Simmons, and Samuel and Evelyn Sparks; Paternal Grandfather, Ezekiel Dukes, Jr.; Maternal grandparents, Thomas James and Carolyn Sparks; and one paternal uncle, Ezekiel Dukes, III.
Survivors include his father and mother, James and Antoinette Dukes, Lake City; his brother, Zackary Dukes, Lake City; Paternal Great-Grandmother, Hattie Chafers, Millen, GA; Paternal Grandmother, Willie Mae Dukes, Ft. Lauderdale; Paternal Uncles, Jerry Dukes (Madeline), Houston, TX, Bobby Dukes, Kentucky and Willie Dukes, Miami, FL; Paternal Aunts, Golden Dukes, Valerise Dukes and Stephanie Dukes; Maternal Uncle, Kevin L. Sparks (Kerchelle), Ft. Lauderdale; Maternal Aunt and Uncle, Maggie & Andrew Stewart; numerous cousins and extended family also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Minister Verlin Cox officiating.
