We were in Lake City on vacation visiting the Hollifields when we learned of John passing. I worked for John beginning in 1969 at Texas Gulf Sulphur and again from May 1979 through January 1988 at Occidental Chemical. John hired me twice, and I am greatly appreciative and thankful for what he did for me. He will be remembered as the best.
Our prayers are with Billye and her family. God Bless You.

We were very saddened to learn of the passing of John. He was a valued friend since 1966 when he agreed to give me a job at Texas Gulf Sulphur in Aurora, N.C. We hunted together and chased our beagles while listening to them trail through the woods on numerous occasions. John was a good, honest, trustworthy man who deserved the great admiration my wife and I had for him. We are honored and proud to have known him. I will always remember the good times we had together, and our activities together as part of our employer/employee relationship. Billye, Carole, Tommy, Dolphy, and Jody; you have our deepest sympathy.
