Wonda Gail Hodson Myers, 71 of Dowling Park, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Suwannee Campus of the Lake City Medical Center in Live Oak. She was born in Conway, South Carolina to the late Curtis Edgar Register and Beulah Lonnie Cox. Mrs. Myers had been a longtime resident of White Springs and more recently of Dowling Park. She was of the Church of God Faith and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, fishing, window shopping and spending time with her family. Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Carl Eugene Hodson, Sr; one son, Parker Hodson, Sr.; and one brother, Roger Register.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Herb Myers, Dowling Park; her children, Cindy Tassic, Bartow, Toni Norris (Ronnie), Lake City, Carl Hodson, Jr. (Laurie), Ft. White, daughter in law, Lenora Hodson, Bartow; Anthony Hodson, Sr. (Jackie), Ft. Meade, CarLanna Quintana (Paul), Cape Coral, LaWonda Law (Larry), Wellborn, Tina Selph (Jody), Jennings, Mike Myers (Connie), Live Oak and David Myers (Karen), Tallahassee; one sister, Pam Suggs (Paul), St. George, GA; four brothers, Larry Register, Lake City, Joseph Register (Melissa), Fairfield, VA, Ronald Register, Lake City and Wayne Register (Margaret), St. Augustine; 39 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor James Taylor of Oak Dale Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
