William Reilly Rogers, age 6 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Shands at the University Hospital in Gainesville. Reilly was born in Gainesville to his parents, Josiah Rogers and Dawn Drehoff. Due to Reilly’s health, he spent almost the last 2 years at Shands Hospital and was known on the “PCICU” as the 10-2 Mascot. Reilly loved anything that had to do with Sea Creatures and Dinosaurs. He loved watching cartoons, especially “Paw Patrol” and “Octonauts”. Reilly’s favorite food was hot chips and drinking Dr. Pepper. He would often convince the doctors to sneak him snacks at the hospital. Reilly was a social butterfly and loved to sing and dance.
He is survived by his parents, Josiah Rogers and Dawn Drehoff, both of Lake City; three sisters, Jade Tash, Elora Rogers and Taylor Tash, all of Lake City; many extended family and friends also survive.
A celebration of Reilly’s life will be conducted on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 4:00 PM at the City Church in Lake City. A time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
