Tanner Allen Wayne, 37, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, May 24, 2021 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City after a brief illness. Born and raised in Lake City, he was a hard working individual, who worked at the Bowling Alley here in Lake City, where he was practically raised. He also worked part time at Publix and in sales as well. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, which he considered to be his therapy. He was a very loving Father, Husband and Friend. He also was a very active member in the Elks Lodge #893 and the Lions Club of Lake City.
He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Lindsey Boyette Wayne of Lake City; son, Tanner Allen Wayne, II and daughter, Tymber Brooklynn Wayne both of Lake City; Father, Steve McCoy (Esther) of Lake City; Mother, Terry Wayne of Lake City; Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law, Vickie & Hal Boyette of Lake City; brother, Troy Michael McCoy (Emily) of Lake City; previous step-father, Mike Fair (Danielle) also of Lake City. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, extended family and friends also survive.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Tanner’s life will be held at Phish Tales Restaurant (formerly Phish Head’s Restaurant) on Sunday, June 6, 2021 beginning at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to either the Lake City Lions Club (P.O. Box 257, Lake City, FL 32056) or Lake City Elks Lodge (259 NE Hernando Ave., Lake City, FL 32025) scholarship fund for the Wayne children.
