Samantha Patterson Jordan, 95, of Evans, Georgia, entered heaven on Saturday
evening September 12, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born in Panama
City, Florida, September 3, 1925. She was proceeded in death by her mother
Ilona Whittle Patterson, her father William Alto Patterson and husband of 33 years,
George Jordan. She is survived by her children: Judy Miller of Hudson, FL, Gary
(Donna) Jordan of Tignal, GA, Beverly (Paul) Funderburk of Starke, FL, and Mark
(Teresa) Jordan of Evans, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kyle
(Micah) Patterson of Louisville, KY, Jeff Miller of Hudson, FL, Shana (Thomas)
Munro of Evans, GA, Matt (Joyce) Jordan of San Diego, CA, Daniel (Melissa) Jordan
of Evans, GA, Jill and Jodi Kirby of Starke, FL. She was blessed with eleven great
grandchildren: Kailyn, Jordan, and Avery Patterson of Louisville, KY, Cole and
Shane Jordan of San Diego, CA, Caleigh and Camden Munro of Evans, GA, Anna
Grace, Luke, and Olivia Jordan of Evans, GA, and McKenna Miller of Hudson, FL.
She shared her faith in God and the importance of church with her children. She
was a loving and devoted mother, an excellent cook, housekeeper, and
seamstress. At times, she worked outside the home in clerical and retail positions
for which she was well suited since she never met a stranger. God blessed her
with a special gift in music. Having taken only one year of piano lessons as a
young girl, she continued to play hymns the rest of her life even after developing
dementia. She had a great sense of humor and a quick wit, evident until her last
days.
