Russell Leroy McDaniel, Jr.

Russell Leroy McDaniel, Jr., 44, of Green Cove Springs, formerly of Lake City, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 11, 2021. He was born in Gainesville on April 17, 1977.  He has lived most of his life in Lake City, moving to Green Cove a little over 4 years ago. He was a painter in the construction industry and was a member of the Green Cove Springs Church of Christ. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching football and was an avid Florida Gator Fan, loved collecting collectables and was very strong in his faith and very family oriented.

He is survived by his wife of two years, Charlotte McDaniel of Green Cove Springs; mother and father, Elaine and Russell McDaniel, Sr. of Lake City; daughters, Hannah McNeese and Abigail McNeese both of Green Cove Springs; siblings, Carol Medlock (Eric Hollman) of Altha, FL, Carl Medlock of Ft. White, Brent McDaniel (April) of Ft. White and Jeannie Reamy of West Virginia. Special nieces and nephews, Brandon Friery, Dallas McDaniel, Lillian McDaniel and Peyton McDaniel along with numerous other nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service for Russell will be conducted on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the New Life Outreach Ministries, 3229 SW SR 47, Lake City, FL,32025, with Pastor Donald Jackson, Pastor Todd Jackson and Pastor Claude McEldowney officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
