Obituary

Rose A Brown 87, daughter of the late Leo and Rose Bittner, widow of Jay Brown, left us on May 7, 2023  to reunite with her husband Jay. Rose was born in Schenectady NY on Dec.1,1935 to Leo and Rose Bittner. She was the youngest of 7 children. Rose graduated from Schenectady High school and worked at the local Grand Union grocery store as a cashier. She met Jay Brown and soon after they were married on May 2, 1965. Rose and Jay adopted their only child Todd in 1969.  In 1997 Jay and Rose moved to Wellborn Florida where she spent the rest of her life. Rose loved her family immensely. She also loved to bowl with her best friend Harriet in the Silver Ladies bowling league for many years.

 

She is survived by her son Todd and his wife Hanni of Wellborn.

 

Funeral services will be held on May 11, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
