Ronald McGinness Obituary

Ronald McGinness, age 90 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at his home.  Mr. McGinness was born in Irvington, NJ the second youngest to the late Charles Thomas McGinness and Wilma Schmidele McGinness.  He was surrounded by love his whole life, and never ran out of love.  He always stuck by his wife’s side until his final breath and was a role model for all of his children and grandchildren that have come and passed.  Mr. McGinness served in the United States Army and would share stories with his family of what he went through just to come home and be at peace with them.  The life he lived, he lived with no regrets and no filter on his mouth.  He spread joy everywhere he went and will continue to do such through the love of his family.  Mr. McGinness loved hockey, football and based following the New York Rangers, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Cardinals.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 7 siblings; and his wife of 66 years, Margaret L. McGinness in January of this year.

Survivors include his four sons, Charles T. McGinness (Patsin), Colorado, Ronald McGinness, Jr, Lake City, Patrick John McGinness (April), Lake City and Joseph Henry McGinness, II (Tracy), Jackson, NJ; one sister, Wilma Hoffman (John), Florence, SC; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
