Renee Waltrip Faulkner

Renee Waltrip Faulkner, 40, of Lake City, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 30, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Lake City on January 11, 1979 to Gregory and Lisa Hill Waltrip. She has made Lake City her home her entire life and was a 1997 graduate of Columbia High School. She was currently employed as a hairdresser at Haircuts Unlimited. She was a homebody to be around her loving children and family, who enjoyed cooking, gardening, feeding her hummingbirds and owls. She enjoyed being around her family, especially spending time with her loving children. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Hill; and her paternal grandfather, Donald M. Waltrip.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, David Byron Faulkner of Lake City; children, Victoria and Bronson Faulkner of Lake City; paternal grandmother, Genevieve Waltrip of Daytona Beach; maternal grandfather, Frederick Hill of Lake City; Maternal Great-Grandmother, Gracie Johnson of Lake City; brothers, Justin & Lorine Waltrip of High Springs and Kyle D. Waltrip of Port St. Joe. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Celebration of life services for Mrs. Faulkner will be conducted on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday evening, September 6, 2019 at the funeral home.
