Noffie Lee Carter, Jr., 48, of Lake City, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Lake City Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born in Gainesville, FL on February 13, 1972 to Noffie “Nick” Lee Carter, Sr. and Linda Carey Ramirez. He was a cook in the restaurant industry for many years and a life-long resident of the Lake City area. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, gambling, watching Kevin Harvick race in NASCAR, drinking Mountain Dew and rooting for the Florida Gators
He is survived by his father, Noffie “Nick” Lee Carter, Sr. of Lake City; mother, Linda Carey Ramirez of Lake City; siblings; Brenda Lancaster (Andy) of Silver Dale, Washington, Brenna Hewett (Chris) of Lake City, Lillian “Dill” Carter of Lake City, Nikki Huggins (Steve) of Lake City, Kristen Graham of Branford, Nick Crawford (Stephanie) of Jacksonville and Don Thomas of Lake City. Special nieces and nephews, Nick Brady, Joe Roberson, Megan Hewett, Whittney Roberson, Brittney Weaver, Brandan Ward and Lacey Lancaster along with several great- nieces and great- nephews also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Noffie will be conducted on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Mr. Tom Noton officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. (one hour prior to the services) at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered to Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home to help with expenses.
