Michael Gordon Dumas Jr.

Mr. Michael Gordon Dumas, Jr, 52, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at his residence. Michael  is the son of the late Michael Gordon and Barbara Jean Phillips Dumas, Sr. Michael had made Lake City his home for the past forty-two years, he was the owner of MDS Maintenance and Repair Company that he started in 2000, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool riding his side by side, going to the pawn shops and flea markets, shopping, and boiling and eating boiled peanuts, spending time with his family and was an AVID FLORDIA STATE FAN. Most of all he loved his grandchildren. Michael is survived by his wife of fifteen years Sandy Kay Dumas, Lake City, FL; his four sons Matthew Paul Dumas, Lake City, FL; Michael Tyler Dumas, Lake City, FL; Mackenzie Austin Thomas, Lake City, FL; and Brendon Gage McDuffie (Emilee) Perry, FL: one daughter Mallory McDuffie, Live Oak, FL; two brothers Jason Dumas (Stephanie) and Dennis Dumas (Kimberlee) both of Lake City, FL; two sisters Deena Valentino (Joe) New Jersey, and Jessica Wilks (Mike) Lake City, FL; four grandchildren Eli Jackson Dumas, Loghyn Rae McDuffie, Langston Kurtis Brock, and Easton Gage McDuffie. Two uncles Jeff Phillips and Albert Phillips, both of Lake City, FL; one aunt Kathy Grant, Lake City, FL; three sisters-in-law Candy Mae Slaughter (Joe) Cedar Key, FL; Brandy Marie Valentine (Thomas) and Nicole Leighanne Jenkins both of Cross City, FL; A memorial service for Michael will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Reverend Chris Jones officiating. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral
