Michael Andrew Boehl, 53, of Lake City, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 12, 1967 and has resided in the Lake City area the last 4 years, moving here from Texas. He worked for Transocean for the last 16 ½ years, and in his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson. He also loved to play in the mud, sing and travel. He was a very outgoing person who loved his daughter and his grandchildren dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Allan Boehl and Josephine C. Barnett Boehl; brother, Curtis William Strickland and his brother-in-lawn, Pat Thornton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Boehl of Lake City; daughter, Kaylee White of MacClenny; step-children, LeAnna Griffin (Randy) of Baxley, GA, Julie Reeves of Lake City, Ransom Barefoot of Lake City and Allan Dawson (Amy Lee) of New Jersey; siblings, Raymond Strickland (Wanda) of Savannah, GA, James Allan Boehl, Jr, of Lake City, Don Joseph Boehl (Brandy) of Lake City, Teresa White (Kevin) of Fayetteville, NC and Jeanne Thornton of Middleburg; sister-in-lawn, Cindy Strickland of Jessup, GA. Ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews along with his Transocean work family from Deep Waster Asgard also survive.
A Celebration of Mr. Boehl’s life will be conducted on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with his brother, Raymond Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. (one hour prior to the service) at the funeral home.
