Matthew Raska Obituary

Matthew George Raska, 65, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 14, 2021 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center after a extended illness. He was born in Orlando, Florida on September 21, 1955 to the late Joseph and Germaine Bourque Raska. He has made Lake City his home for the last 26 years and attended the Lake City Church of God. He retired after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force and loved going to auctions, where he would buy and sell all the treasures that he would find. He was a loving husband, dad, poppy and most of all friend to everyone that he met; he never met a stranger. He also loved the Lord with all of his heart. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Krystle Raska.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sue Raska; daughter, Heather Ceplecha; grandchildren, Karson Ceplecha and Bella Foster; brother, Louis Raska (Joanne) and David Raska (Nanette); sisters, Rose Murray (Mike), Anne Boehm (Ron) and Helen Bos (Cary). Two little loving dachshunds along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends that he loved dearly also survive.
