Mary Annette Holton, 87, of Lake City, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center.
Born in Douglas, Ga., on May 25, 1931 to the late Willis C. Smith and Avie Hutto. She moved to Lake City in 1975 from Jacksonville. She worked in the cafeteria for the Columbia County School System. She was a member of Calvert Baptist Church and loved going to church and working in the garden. She was a loving mother, grandmother , great grandmother. Mrs. Holton is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband; John Holton, Sr., three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her daughters; Cecelia Brown (Bobby), Barbara Johnson (Jerry), sons; Ralph Holton, Robert Holton (Monica), 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Holton will be conducted at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn with Pastor Ivan Clements officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31,2018 from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.
