Margaret Ann (Thomas) Johnson

Margaret Ann Johnson, 68, of White Springs, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, July 9, 2021 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Lake City on April 25, 1953 and has lived most of her life in the Lake City area. She worked as a waitress for several years and then worked for Rountree-Moore for a short stint before she retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, going to the river and being on her pontoon boat. She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Katie Register Thomas; son, Chet Johnson in 1975, loving husband, Chester Johnson in 2020; her great-granddaughter, Laklee Perkins, brothers, David and Don Thomas and her sisters, Joyce Johnson and Linda Brett.

She is survived by her children, Holly Johnson of Lake City and Mikey Johnson (Trish) of Lake City; grandchildren, Ashley Norris, Dylan Davis, Dustin Davis, Ryder Johnson (Ilyssa), Hayden Johnson and Katie Johnson; great-grandchildren, John David Norris and Riley Johnson; brothers, Ed Thomas (Bonnie) of Lake City, Ricky Thomas of Lake City, Calvin Thomas (Dale) of Lake City, Kim Thomas (Evelyn) of Lake City, Danny Thomas (Melissa) of Lake City and Daryl Thomas (Tiffany) of Alabama. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends also survive.

A graveside service for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (US HWY 441 North) with Pastor Eddie Thomas officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening, July 13, 2021 at the funeral home.
