Margaret Watterson Howard, a resident for many years of Live Oak, Florida, went peacefully to be with her heavenly Father on Father's Day, June 20, 2021. She was born in Trenton, Florida, to Clifford Watterson and Posey (Davis) Watterson on July 13, 1927.
Margaret captured all that knew her with her bright, blue eyes, magnificent smile, delightful sense of humor and gracious personality; to know her was to love her. She lived her life to the fullest in love and in laughter for 53 years with her surviving husband John S. Howard. She was an adored step-mother to John S. Howard, Jr, Christopher R. Howard and Jo Ann Howard-Heath, and known with great affection as “Maggie” by eight step-grandchildren and twenty-one great step-grandchildren. Margaret is survived by her brother George Watterson and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her brother Charles Watterson and her sister Frances (Watterson) Mott.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, July 17, 2021, at Christ Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 421 White Ave SE, Live Oak, FL 32064. A brief graveside service will follow at the Pine Grove Methodist Church, 5300 CR 136A, Live Oak FL 32060, and a luncheon will be held at the Pine Grove Methodist Church's fellowship hall after the services.
