Marcella Braddock Smith

Marcella  Braddock Smith, 80, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Lake City Medical Center.

Born August 7, 1937 in Jacksonville, Fl., to the late Ollie Rufus Braddock and Frances Viola Owens. Mrs. Smith lived in Dowling Park, Fl., for 27 years then moving here to live with her daughter. She loved to plant her flower gardens, go to yard sales. She was a member of Dowling Park Church of God, loved her family and church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 59 years; William Robert Smith, brothers; Ollie R. Braddock, Jr., Earl Thomas Braddock, and sisters; Alice F. Braddock and Kathern J. Guidry.

Survivors include her four sons; Robert Dennis Smith, Ronald Martin Smith, Rufus Leon Smith (Lisa), Raymond Lester Smith (Lora), two daughters; Rhonda L. Cheshire (Buddy), Robin Kimberly Smith, brother; Donald R. Braddock, sisters; Frances V. Maggard, Gail Wescott, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survivor.

Graveside services for Mrs. Smith will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Dowling Park Church of God Cemetery with Pastor Cagney Tanner officiating. Visitation with the family and friends from 5:00P.M-7:00 P.M., Friday, June 1, 2018 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
