Mamie Baldwin Obituary

Mamie Louise Baldwin, 83 of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at her home. She was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, one of fifteen children, to the late Lester Ray Davenport and Mabel Lewis Davenport. Mrs. Baldwin had made her home in Lake City since 1992 having moved here from Hollywood, Florida, where she had been a resident for over 40 years. She loved reading and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Freda Lockwood; and 11 siblings.

Survivors include her children, Norma Jo Yeingst, Lake City, Debra Louise Houdesheldt, Lake City, Travis Joe Lockwood, Jr. (Bridget), Lake City, Kenneth Ray Lockwood (Ann), Long Island, NY, Theresa Varner (Chris), Reno, NV and Rick Taylor (Mary), Lake City; two brothers, Joe Davenport (Bobbie), Lake City and Charles “Buddy” Davenport (Bonnie), Lake City; one sister, Peggy King, Lake City; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
