Lonnie Wayne Hall, 71, of Lake City, Florida passed away March 11, 2022, at NFRH in Gainesville, Fl after an extended illness. Wayne (as he was called) was born to the late J Lonnie & Lota Mae Smith Hall in Lake City, Fl on May 5, 1950. He graduated from Columbia High School in 1968 and was proud to be a Lake City Tiger. He was a jack of all trades and could do just about anything. Many a day you could find him under the hood of a vehicle teaching his son Ryan how to mechanic or having long conversations with his daughter Danielle about life. For most of his life he worked in insurance sales and in restaurant managerial services. He was an avid Gator fan and was in front of the TV watching every game; he was also a chess player and enjoyed many an evening playing games on the internet. He loved going to the mountains with his parents and siblings and treasured those times. He was loved by all his family and will be sorely missed.
Survivors are his two children, Danielle (Jonathan) Perry, Ryan (Hannah) Hall; sisters, Sheron (Don) Hogan and Kim (Matt) Burns; grandchildren, Hanna (B J) Wheeler, Jade Perry, Nolan and Jaxon Hall. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews, his lifelong best friend Glen Calcote, the mother of his children, Debbie Hall and many other friends and family.
The family will host a memorial for Wayne at Southside Baptist Church in church annex on East Baya Avenue, Lake City at 2PM on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Please feel free to wear Gator colors that he loved so much.
