Lonnie B. Walker resident of Lake City, Florida, formerly from Homestead, FL, passed away on Friday August 20, 2021. He was 51 years old. Lonnie was a great dad, a trusting and loyal friend. He had a way of talking to people that everyone paid attention. His laugh was goofy and infectious. In his younger years he found his adventure in the Everglades, wrestling Alligators for the public. His personality shone through and he even became known for letting small lizards hang from his earlobes.
Later on his interest shifted onto becoming a more thorough mechanic. Lonnie loved everything about cars and trucks, racing them, fixing them, and building them. His love of cars, boats, and trailers brought him to work at Miami Trailers and Equipment where he met his lifelong friend Alan. Through that friendship they continued to work together at Florida Trailers where he got to branch out and be the sales manager. He even bought me my first car and put so much love and hard work to make sure it was safe for me. Lonnie had a unique way of looking at the world and his sense of humor was loved by many, there was never a boring moment when he was around.
He is lived on by his daughter Alyssa Walker and grandson Johnathan Torres, as well as his other loving family members and close friends. His family and friends will remember him as a generous and happy person. He will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life in Lonnie’s memory will be determined in the near future.
