Kaitlyn Leighann Raymont

Kaitlyn Leighann Raymont (Kitchens), age 26 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Kaitlyn was born in Gainesville and resided in Lake City.  She was a graduate of P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School in Gainesville class of 2014 and attended Santa Fe College.  Kaitlyn was employed with the Florida Department of Corrections since 2017 and was aspiring to be an officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservations Commission.  Kaitlyn had a passion for outdoor adventures. She loved fishing and always had a rod & reel in her truck ready for the next big catch. 

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, William “Bill” Dicks; maternal great-grandparents, Lucien “Papier” Jacques and Alice “Mamier” Jacques.

Survivors include her parents, Paul Owen Raymont and Melissa Wasden Raymont of Lake City; her brother, Landon Blaize Raymont, Lake City; paternal grandparents, Florence M. Hewett, Lake City and Paul Edmond Raymont, Bear, DE; maternal grandparents, Trammel Wasden, Lake City, Suzanne Wasden, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and John Alvey, Seffner, FL; paternal uncle, Thomas Dicks, Orlando; paternal aunt, Sheila Robertson (Kris), Lake City; maternal uncle, Adam Wasden, Lake City; godparents Susan and Joel Law, Lake City and many other extended family and friends throughout Florida, Delaware, New Hampshire and Canada.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.  All are invited for visitation with the family one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Service will begin at 3pm. Feel free to honor Kaitlyn by wearing a fishing themed or style shirt.
