Julia Murray Travis, 79 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Solaris HealthCare in Lake City. She was born in Lake City the youngest of 8 children to the late Daniel N. “Dutch” Murray and Lula Milton Murray. Mrs. Travis was a lifelong resident of Lake City and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints White Springs Branch. She worked for 34 years as a school bus driver with the Columbia County School Board retiring in 2004. She loved spending time with her family and working in her yard. Her quick witted sense of humor was loved by all. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lenville Bullard in 1964 and George Travis in 2003; seven siblings; and former husband and father of two of her daughters, Jimmy Greene, 2021.
Survivors include her children, Lenville Bullard, Jr, Lake City, Anita Johnson (Dan), Lake City, Jamie Cummings (Leroy), Branford and Becky Alder (Russ), Lake City; seven grandchildren, Travis Gilbert (Jennifer), Birmingham, AL, Justin Gilbert, Lake City, Christal Stancel (Kevin), Bell, Joshua Messer (Kayla), Live Oak, Chance Cummings, Gainesville, R.J. Adler, Lake City, Aaron Adler, Lake Butler, Danielle Adler, Lake Butler, Ryan Adler, Mt. Dora and Ashlen Bullard, Lake City; 16 great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Greene Cemetery in the Deep Creek Community of Columbia County. Interment will follow. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cure PSP, Inc. at www.psp.org in memory of Mrs. Travis.
