Josiah James Ferguson

Mr. Josiah James Ferguson passed away suddenly on 04/28/2023 from unknown causes . He is the son of Millicent Decarish and Delroy Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his brother Mark Blair,  beloved grandparents and uncles. James came to the United States in 1992 from Montego Bay Jamaica . James made his home in Lake City, Fl for 17 years after moving from Miami .While in Miami he worked at 441 tool repair for 13 years .  He was then employed by Roundtree Moore Toyota for 15 years where he won numerous technician of the year awards. James enjoyed spending time with his family (his wife of 20 years and two children) , fishing , watching old action movies and listening to music . He also loved to ride motorcycles and mudding in his jeep with friends . James also spent much of his time traveling with his family. He took them on many family vacations all across the U.S. as well as out of the country. James loved to visit his home of Montego Bay, Jamaica where he would take his family sightseeing and would enjoy showing them where he grew up . If you met James you loved him. He was someone who always knew the right thing to say and respected and loved everyone he came in contact with. James will be forever missed by all who knew him . 

James is survived by his wife Roseanna Ferguson and his two beautiful children Angelina & Josiah Ferguson.  His mother Millicent Decarish, his father Delroy Ferguson , his older brothers Donavan Blair and Micheal Ferguson and younger brothers Danville Ferguson , Rohan Ferguson and Ryan Ferguson. His aunts Gloria Crossfield and Elaine Malcom, his uncle Osmond Decarish and countless cousins , nieces, nephews and in-laws . 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 20th at 3:00 p.m. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service . There will also be a repass / celebration of life at 5:00pm at Casa Isabel 2338 NW Bascom Norris Dr. Lake city , Fl
