John Gibson Bryan, aged 82, of Lake City, Florida, was called to his eternal resting place suddenly on April 17, 2024. Born on January 8, 1942, in Greenville, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Glen Bryan and Martha Sartin Bryan.
A man of great character and charm, John was esteemed for his quick wit and engaging conversationalist nature. He demonstrated a keen acumen in business as the esteemed proprietor of Mary's Flower Shop, a venture he embarked upon after moving to Lake City in the late 1980s. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched by his love for leisurely pursuits such as golf, card games, and a fervent appreciation for sports.
John's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his devoted children, Susan Workman, Jimmy Bryan, Kelley Marshall, Stephanie Erskin, and Whitney Lavoie. His legacy also lives on through his eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild who will miss him dearly. He now joins in peace his late wife Greta Bryan, and siblings, Charles Bryan and Glen Kerby Bryan, along with his parents.
In honoring John's wishes, his life will be commemorated in a private family gathering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's memory to Youth on Course. The family extends their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time of remembrance.
