Joe Harden Wood, Jr.

Joe Harden Wood, Jr., age 67, went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2021 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Joe was born on March 17, 1954 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Joe Harden Wood, Sr. and Constance Wood. Joe has lived in the Branford, FL area for the last 33 years with his family. Joe was an avid lover of the outdoors. Joe spent his time fishing either at the beach of the river with friends and could always be found out by the water. Joe also loved music and would play guitar with his friends and pass the time talking about the good ole days. Joe was also very handy and would work to help anyone who needed it. Joe loved his family tremendously and enjoyed spending time with them. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Harden Wood, Sr. and his mother, Constance Wood of Jonesboro, GA.; he is also preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Breedan of Fargo, ND.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Wood (66) and beloved dog, Sam of Branford, FL; two twin daughters, Melissa Frye (41) & husband, Billy Frye (46) of Interlachen, FL and Christina Reedy & husband John Esposito (44) of Wellborn, FL; Tim Reedy (49) of Lake City, FL; twin-sister, Cindy Gillim (67) & husband, Terry Gillim of Jonesboro, GA; sister, Karen Waterhouse (69) of Jonesboro, GA, sister, Pam Garcia (64) of Missouri; mother-in-law, Hilda Mullins (90) of Branford, FL; and his five grandchildren, Dixie Tanner (23) & huband, Keith Tanner (25) of Mayo, FL, Julian Reedy (21) of Wellborn, FL, Billy Frye, II (19) of Interlachen, FL, Adrian Reedy (19) of Wellborn, FL and Misty Frye 917) of Interlachen, FL. A host of nieces and nephews and countless friends also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
