Jimmy S Albritton

Mr. Jimmy S. Albritton, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, November 21, 2021 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City after a brief illness. He was born in Lake City on November 20, 1945 to the late Cozzie and Cora Lee Alford Albritton. He was an Engineer with North East Florida Telephone Company for over 30 years and was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church here in Lake City. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard and was well known as a guitar player as well. He loved his family dearly as well as his church and church family. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 23 years, Fay Albritton in 2016; and his sisters, Joann Williams, Norma Jean Darley and Shirley Sutton; and his son, Steve Gibson.

He is survived by his sons, Jamie Albritton of Lake City, FL and Arnnie Gibson (Anna) Starke, FL; four daughters Karen Lazenby (Joe) Starke, FL, Tonda Exlison (Alvin) Lake Butler, FL, Tina Welch (Johnny) Lake Butler, FL and Gina Burns (Cliff), Middleburg, FL. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and three special friends, Tommy McGlew, Mike Crews and Mike Griffis also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Albritton will be conducted on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Norman officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, 1007 NE Needmore Rd, White Springs, FL, 32096. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to the Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund, 144 SE Montrose Ave, Lake City FL, 32025.
