Janetta Sue Ling

Janetta Sue Ling, 83, of Wellborn, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, January 22, 2023 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness. She was born in Williamson, WV on July 10, 1939 to the late Foster Webb and Fern Curry Webb, the 2nd to oldest of fourteen children. She has lived in the Wellborn area for the past 19 years, moving here from the Ft. Lauderdale area. She was a member of the Wellborn United Methodist Church and worked for Publix as a cashier, retiring with 20 years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; and loved being active in her church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ling; and her siblings, Billy Webb, Donald Webb, Danny Ray Webb, Dennis Webb, Roger Webb, Foster Dean (Bob) Webb, Terry Allen Webb, Jealean Cole and Glenn Webb.

She is survived by her daughter, Monica Tannehill (Jeremy) of Wellborn; sons, David Ling (Dezi) of Georgia and Teddy Ling of Lake City; eight grandchildren, Megan, Erin, Daniel, Shane, Destane, Bridgette, Dalton and Dakota  & one great-grandchild, Jaxon. One brother, Jimmy Webb and three sisters, Darlene Varney, Rosemary Forrester and Ruth Curry also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Ling will be conducted at the Wellborn United Methodist Church 12005 Co Rd 137, Wellborn, FL 32094, on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 starting at 10:00 a.m. The family will then gather in the fellowship hall for food and remembrance. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
