Mr. James David “Jim” Spring, 78, of Lake City passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2022 at his home. A native of Florence, South Carolina, he was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany and Vietnam. Jim married the love of his life Judy in 1964 and was a founding member of Lube Specialist in 1979 and retired as president in 2013. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, cruising and spending time with his family and friends. Jim was an active member of the Lake City Elks Club #893 and the American Legion.
Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy; two daughters Sandy Martin and Gina Brock; three grandsons, Jamie Martin (Amanda), Austin Lawrence (Samantha), and Jayson Brock; 5 great grandchildren, Sawyer and Carolina Lawrence, Hudson and Harlow Brock, and Oliver Martin; siblings, Mickey Spring (Gina), Gertrude Booth (Ted), Wayne Spring (Sue), Annie Spring, Larry Spring (Sandy), Janie Kaufman, and Winston Spring, Jr.
A Celebration of Life for Jim will be conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Lake City Elks Lodge #893. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Lake City Elks Lodge #893, ATTN: Renee Williams, P.O. Box 1122, Lake City, FL 32056. (Please note in memo line, Jim Spring/Veterans Fund).
