James Devin Beasley, 28, of Safety Harbor, formerly of Lake City, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021. Devin was born in Gainesville, FL on September 27, 1992 and grew up traveling with his father as he served in the military, and graduated High School in Hawaii and attended UNF and FSCJ in Jacksonville for a short while. He recently moved to Safety Harbor almost 4 years ago and worked in Warranty Sales. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, surfing, being on the water, being outdoors and loved animals. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Williams.
He is survived by his father, Craig Beasley (Nicki) of Lake City; mother, Samantha Cribbs (Chuck) of Fort White; step-father, Walt Howard of Lake City; grandparents, Leonard Beasley of Lake City, Janice and Bill Ryan of Lake City and Dean Morrison of Ohio; brother, Brandon Beasley (Paige) of Lake City; half-sister, Haley Huff and step-sister, Miracle Howard. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends along with his two dogs, Cash and Beau also survive.
A memorial service for Devin will be conducted on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from Noon to 1:00 P.M. (one hour prior to the services) in the chapel of the funeral home. Flowers are welcomed at the funeral home or in lieu of flowers; the family asks that donations be made to the Lake City Humane Society in Devin’s name.
