Jack Lee King

Mr. Jack Lee King, 91, of Lake City, Florida, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, November 14, 2022. He grew up in Galena Park, Texas and moved with his wife and two children to Lake City, Florida in 1970, where he continued his career of 41 years at Occidental Chemical Corporation.

Mr. King led a life of service to others which included being a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and the First United Methodist Church of Lake City. He was a charter member of the Christian Service Center and served on the board of Directors for 40 years. He was also a member of the Lake City Masonic Lodge #27 for over 45 years, where he was the 1992 Past Master as well as Marshal Emeritus.

He was married to Nelda Cantey King for 64 years and a devoted father to Phyllis Allen (Ed) of Jacksonville, Florida and Ronald King (Tammy) of Lake City Florida. He was a loving grandfather to Matthew Allen (Aubrie) & Patrick Allen (Kim) all of Jacksonville, Florida and Nina Chauncey (Danny) of Valdosta, Georgia. He was also the great-grandfather of six children.

A service to honor his life will be conducted on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Lake City with Pastor Aaron Ankeny officiating. There will be a time of visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during the past year.
