Harold Lloyd "Dick" Bass

Mr. Harold Lloyd “Dick” Bass, 79, of White Springs, passed away November 1, 2019. He was born in St. Cloud, FL to the late Paul and Nona Padgett Bass. Dick retired as Deputy Tax Collector from the Osceola County Tax Collectors office after many years of service. His hobbies were repairing and restoring cars and tractors. He was true and loyal to his friends and his greatest love was his family and each had a special place in his heart.

Dick is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Evans Bass; sons, Robert Lloyd Bass (Alison), James Allen Bass, Sam Colt Bass, and Cody Allen Bass; his granddaughter Evan Renee Bass and grandson Caleb Overstreet; brother, Paul “Bud” Bass; sisters, Georgia “Pauline” Forehand, and Barbara “Peggy” Buck.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Reverend Henry Bass officiating. Private interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UF Health Shands Hospital. Memorial gifts may be mailed to UF Health Office of Development, P.O. Box 1000386, Gainesville, FL 32610. Please indicate on your memorial that it is directed to UF Shands Hospital in memory of Harold Bass.
