Frank Jon “J.J.” Cembruch, Jr., 50 of High Springs, passed away at his home with his family on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. J.J. was born in Largo, Florida and had made the Fort White and High Springs area his home since 1981. He was a graduate of Santa Fe High School class of 1991 and retired from Clay Electric in Keystone Heights in 2022 with 12 years of employment. J.J. was a man who could build anything with his hands and loved fixing things and fishing. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and even learned gymnastics so he could coach his two daugthers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Hicks Cembruch.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Malinda Law Cembruch, High Springs; his father, Jon Cembruch (Kay), Lake City; two daughters, Karsen Cembruch Owens (Kodey), Fort White and Kamryn Cembruch, High Springs; his sister, Patty Kesead, Lake City; one niece, Amanda Barker (Chris), Lake City; one nephew, Wyatt Kesead, Lake City; and one grandchild, Hayven Owens, Fort White.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Cunningham officiating. A time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice of Gainesville or to the animal shelter of your choice, in memory of J.J.
