Frank R. McClain

Frank R. McClain, 93, of Fort White, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 13, 2023, at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born in Marion, Indiana on April 5, 1930 to the late David McClain and Grace VanBactor McClain. He has made Ft. White his home since the mid 1980’s moving here from the Riverview, FL area. He was an Electrician and Contractor for nearly 60 years and was a US Army Veteran. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, farming and making mead. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nevada McClain; sons, David Drake McClain, Timothy McClain and Danny McClain; and his daughter, Vickie McClain.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Donald Pollock (Jessica) of Ft. White, Chris Harry of Ft. White, Christina Tucker (Wesley) of North Carolina, Candace James (Don) of North Carolina, Tammy Whited (Mike) of Illinois, Donnie Anderson (Lisa) of California, Keith Denton (Kimberly) of Georgia, Denise Carter (Bryan) of Georgia and Frank Drake; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren along with his two step children, Thomas Denton of Georgia and Diane Ball of North Carolina also survive.

A graveside funeral service for Mr. McClain will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the graveside service at the funeral home.
