Frances Ritch Richardson, age 95, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, May 12, 2023 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City after a brief illness. She was born in Dundee, Florida on May 24, 1927 to the late Vernon and Vera Pearce Ritch. She has made Lake City her home most of her life and was raised in the LuLu area. She worked for over 26 years as a Clerk for Belk’s and was a member of the Abundant Life Church here in Lake City. In her spare time, enjoyed working with her flowers, mowing the yard, Riding in the ’65 Malibu that her and her husband owned, cooking, sewing and traveling with her husband Tommie. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Leo Ritch (Pauline), Ellis Ritch and Edward Ritch; and her sisters, Mable Johnson and Lucille Watters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Tommie Richardson of Lake City; sons, Don Bryan, (Cheryl) of Dasher, GA and Lynn Bryan (Linda) of Tampa, FL; daughters, Glenda Collier (Tim) of High Springs and Sue Fouke (Scott) of Alachua; Brother, Maurice Ritch (Geri) of Lake City and her sister-in-law’s, Lois Rich and Janie Ritch. Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service for Mrs. Richardson will be conducted on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Abundant Life Church, 635 State Road 100, Lake City, FL, 32025, with Rev. Cagney Tanner officiating, assisted by Pastor James Richardson. Interment will follow in the High Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a of visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered to the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center, 6037 W. US HWY 90, Lake City, FL, 32055.
