Frances Alene (Upchurch) Brewer

Frances Alene Upchurch Brewer, 90, of White Springs, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, August 28, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born on November 25, 1932 in Jacksonville to the late John Walter Upchurch and Lorena Edna Clemons Upchurch. She had made the White Springs area her home for the past 30 years, moving to the area from Miami. She worked as a Secretary for a number of years before retirement and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Lake City. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, crafting and shopping. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Winton Joseph Brewer; daughters, Sharyn Elaine Darlington and Susan Denise Brewer; son-in-law, Olen Pendergrass; and her siblings, Geraldine “Gerri” Christiano, Jack E. Upchurch and Donna Gayle Pace.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Ann Pendergrass of Mosheim, TN; son, Del Brewer (Terry) of Fort White and sisters, Shirley Ann Bruscia and Barbara F. Miller both of Macon, GA. Six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Brewer will be conducted on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Parkview Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Tatem officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:30 A.M. prior to the service at the church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
