Fernand E Gendron

Fernand E. Gendron, 72 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, at the Lake City Medical Center following a brief illness.  He was born in Lewiston, Maine, to the late Emile George Gendron and Laurette Jourdain Gendron.  Mr. Gendron had made his home in Lake City since 2012 and had previously been a longtime resident of Sabattus and Lisbon Falls, Maine.  Mr. Gendron served our country in the United States Army and retired in 2008 from Masonite in Lisbon Falls, Maine.  He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the East Mission Hopeful Baptist Church in Lake City.  Mr. Gendron enjoyed feeding his birds, fishing and Candlepin Bowling.   

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marguerite L. Gendron, Lake City; four children, Robert M. Gendron, Newburgh, IN, Emile “Mel” Gendron, Winthrop, ME, Laura Dean, Lake City and Mark F. Gendron, Lake City; three brothers, Rosario Gendron (Julie), Lisbon Falls, ME, Joseph Henry Gendron, Orrs Island, ME and Joseph Robert Gendron (Linda), Lewiston, ME; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Smith, Angel Harlow, Cassidy Gendron, Gerald Nadeau, Derek Nadeau, Nyomi Nadeau, Scyler Young, Dakota Young and Nicholas Dean; four great-grandchildren, Emilia, Charlie, Sienna and the fourth due in March of 2021; and his faithful Chihuahua “Sussie”.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 4, 2020, at 3:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Wineberg, officiating.  Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  A live stream of the services will be available by visiting Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Crematory on Facebook.
