Debra Louise Peek

Debra Louise Peek, 67 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.  She was born in Riverside, New Jersey and had made Lake City her home since 1993 having moved here from Jacksonville where she was raised.  Mrs. Peek worked for Eckerd Drug Stores and then continued with CVS in Lake City with over 25 years of employment with both.  She was a member of and made her church home at Christ Central Ministries in Lake City.  Mrs. Peek enjoyed her work, but above all, she loved spending time with her family and her number one priority was taking care of her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Bancroft and Robert McGuigan; one sister, Kathleen Miller; her husband of 38 years, Mr. Jack Peek, in 2009. 

Survivors include her two children, Olivia Peek (Kathy) and Charles Peek (Heather), both of Lake City; her mother, Elsie McGuigan, Lake City; one brother, Charles Bancroft, Trenton, N.J.; one sister, Darlene Wright, Waycross, GA; and five grandchildren, Siera Peek, Tyler Pope, Caleb Pope, Dylan Taylor and Landon Peek.

Funeral services for Mrs. Peek will be conducted on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bill Clayton officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
