David Anthony Creel

David Anthony Creel, 54, of Lake City, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 after a sudden illness. He was born in Lake City on October 1, 1967 to Rachel Helen Markham and the late John Larry Creel. He was a life-long resident of Lake City and a member of the Lake City Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a Brick Mason by trade and in his spare time, he enjoyed music, writing poetry and song lyrics as well as painting guitars and art projects. He was currently working on getting a degree in music as well. He is preceded in death by his step-father, Bernard John “Buddy” Trumbach.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Markham Trumbach of Lake City; daughters, Erika Barrs Edenfield (Josh) and Emily Creel. He also has one grandchild on the way, and is survived by his lifelong faithful friend, his dog, Bucky Creel. Numerous extended family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service for David will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brendon White officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service.
