Obituary
Daniel Powell Summers passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. A Lake City native, Daniel was born to Gordon Powell & Dr. Susan Robinson Summers on July 2, 1992. He was a 2011 graduate of Columbia High School and 2015 Florida Gateway College.
Daniel was a dedicated multi-galloneer blood donor with Lifesouth Community Blood Center. He enjoyed good food, craft beer, tailgating at Gator football games, and time with his family.
Daniel was predeceased by his mother, Susan, Fraternal grandparents, G. Powell & Sara von Dahm Summers, Maternal grandparents, Dr. John James & Hazel Floyd Robinson.
He is survived by his father, Gordon, one brother, Samuel James (Kelly) of Tampa, one sister, Catherine Dew (Chris) of Lake Mary, and a niece, Charlotte Powell Summers.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 3 pm at Gateway-Forest Lawn with services to follow at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lifesouth or another cause close to your heart.
