Charles Allen Privette, Sr., 75, of Lake City, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Malcolm Randal VA Medical Center in Gainesville after an extended illness. He was born in Wilson, North Carolina to the late Charlie Raymond and Alma Pearce Privette. He has made Lake City his home most of his life and was a US Army Veteran. He was a Diesel Mechanic as well as owner and operator of his own logging/trucking business for many years. He was known as a work-a-holic, who during his spare time, enjoyed cookouts, spending time at the river and going to flea markets. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Privette; and brothers, Joseph Earl Privette and Tony Privette.
He is survived by his sons, Matt Privette (Samantha) and Chuck Privette (Kerri); daughters, Shannon Thomas (Steve), Jamie Privette (Tommy) and Stephanie Privette; brother, Jerry Privette. Nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
A funeral service for Mr. Privette will be conducted on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M prior to the services.
