Mr. Charles Otis “Chuck” Lord, Jr., 76, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, February 6, 2020 at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 24, 1943 to the late Charles, Sr. and Rena Sterling Lord. He has made the Lake City area his home for the last 18 years, moving here from Marietta, Georgia. He was a Systems Analyst & Software Engineer for SE Services here in Lake City and was a faithful member of the Salem Primitive Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed photography, NASCAR, drag racing and football. He loved his church family dearly and enjoyed fellowshipping with his church family every chance he had. He is preceded in death by his siblings, James Sterling Lord, Sr. and Vera “Vee” Caroline Lord.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathy R. Lord of Lake City and his daughter, Lisa Lynn Lord of Lake City. Extended family and friends along with his church family also survive.
Memorial services for Mr. Lord will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Salem Primitive Baptist Church with Brother Herman Griffin and Brother Rick Bicknell officiating.
