Brett Allen “Pooh Bear” Raulerson, 58 of Lake City, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City with his family by his side. Mr. Raulerson was born and raised in Lake City, the sixth child of seven, to the late Jake and Betty Jo Wheeler Raulerson. He worked for 34 years with O’Neal Roofing and Contracting. Mr. Raulerson loved listening to country music, following NASCAR, especially the late Dale Earnhardt, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs. He was a great family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Raulerson was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Alma Howes, Glenn Raulerson and Janice Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Kennington Raulerson; children, Shane Nash (Denise), Shone Nash (Misty), Shannon Kinnear and Michael Tickle all of Lake City, and Ryan Whitehead, Kansas City, MO; siblings, Allie Raulerson, Lake City, Benny Raulerson (Heidi), Jacksonville and Jeffery Raulerson (Cathy), Lake City; eight grandchildren, Destinee Regar (Dustin), Thomas Nash, Araya Kinnear (Cody), Hunter Kinnear, Candice Hartsfield, Alexis Nash, Logan Montemurro (Leslie) and Alex Kinnear all of Lake City; and four great grandchildren, Roland Regar, Jaxon Duffy, Benjamin Montemurro and Kelstyn Tickle all of Lake City.
Funeral services for Mr. Raulerson will be conducted on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Edenfield officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
