Brenda Sue Kimbrell

Ms. Brenda Sue Kimbrell, 57, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the HCA Hospital in Gainesville, FL following an illness. She is the daughter of the late Jeffers Harvey and Lois Delores Ginn Kimbrell and is preceded in death by her brother Jeffers Harvey “Buddy” Kimbrell. Brenda made Lake City her home for the past fifty-three years, she worked as the head housekeeper at the Country Inn and Suites until retiring in 2008, she was a member of the New Beginning Fellowship Church, and loved to feed the birds, had a green thumb, and the best penmanship, and loved to draw and color.

She is survived by two sons John Mark Higgs, Jr., and Justin Corey Kimbrell, both of Lake City, FL; one daughter Jennifer Lynn Kimbrell (Ron Phillip Keenan) Gainesville, FL, and two sisters Robin Elva Denison and Connie Lynn Miklautsch both of Lake City, FL. and six grandchildren also survive McKenzie, McKayla, James, John, Serenity and Noah and one great-grandchild on the way.

A memorial service for Brenda will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Reverend Harvey Hester officiating.
