BobbieLee Rodgers, 68, of Wellborn, returned to the arms of our Lord on Saturday afternoon, December 11, 2021 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville from complications resulting from a long-term illness. She was born on December 23, 1952 in Maryland to the late Leo and Dena Fuhrmann. She and her hsunand moved to Florida where she graduated Pharmacy school as a PharmD from the University of Florida in 1990. She made Wellborn her home in 1992 following the loss of her mother. She loved animals and loved to spend time with all of her various pets throughout the years. She also loved to bake especially for the holidays. Travelling was another hobby she hoped to get to do more of but loved to take her family to Orlando at least once a year. She also enjoyed watching classic tv shows, spoiling her family with gifts but most of all, she cherished being the world’s best grandma and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren. She retired from the Shands Hospital system in 2020 where she was the Director of Pharmacy.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard Rodgers of Wellborn, her son, Christopher Michael Rodgers of Gainesville, and her daughter, Michelle Kari Rodgers-Suh (Sang Suh) of Tallahassee, two grandchildren, Dena Adrian Suh and Thomas Christopher Suh and by numerous extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Rodgers will be conducted on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2pm in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 1pm prior to the service.
