Betty Sue Schneiders

Betty Sue Schneiders, 89 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesville. She was born in Long Branch, West Virginia, the fourth child of four, to the late Enoch and Millie Treadway Lively. Mrs. Schneiders moved to Lake City with her late husband in 1993 having moved here from there summer home in Inverness, Florida and they had been longtime residents of Elkton, MD. She was of the Catholic faith and an active member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City. Mrs. Schneiders enjoyed dancing and attending the Lifestyle Enrichment Center in Lake City. She always had a joke and enjoyed making people laugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Schneiders in 1995, and her three sisters. Survivors include her children, Larry Schneiders (Susie), Lake City, Donna Schneiders, Lake City and Richard Schneiders, Salisbury, MD; three grandchildren, Lisa Bryan (Sean), Lake City, Mark Schneiders (Kim), Lake City and Marie Curry (Jason), Palatka, FL; ten great grandchildren, Shawn Honaker (Candy), Brooksville, FL, Robert Honaker (Cassidy), Jessica Cogle (Ron), Ashley Bryan (James), Christopher Schneiders (Lonie), Steven Schneiders (Jenny), Michael Schneiders and Hannah Waller all of Lake City, and Zoe and Adian Curry both of Palatka; and thirteen great-great grandchildren also survive. A funeral mass will be conducted on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 12:30 at Epiphany Catholic Church with Father Rob Trujillo officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
