Ann Parrish Wilcox

Anna Parrish Wilcox, 78, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. She was born June 18, 1943 in Lake City, Florida to the late J.L. Parrish, Jr. and Anna Markham Parrish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Wilcox.

Ann was a graduate of Columbia High School and very much enjoyed growing up in Lake City among a great group of friends. She went on to get a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida followed by a Master’s Degree from Florida State University. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. After graduating, she taught for a few years before becoming a Career Guidance Counselor for Seminole County Community College from which she retired. She resided in Longwood, Florida, where she developed many wonderful friendships – especially, at her church, Markham Woods Presbyterian, where she served as a Deacon.

Ann suffered a debilitating fall which made it necessary for her to move to High Springs to be close to family who could help tend to her needs. She resided at Plantation Oaks Senior Living Facility where she received excellent care and made wonderful friends. Ann’s vibrant personality and sincere interest in others will make her sorely missed.

Ann is predeceased by a dear older brother, Jim Parrish, and leaves behind a loving family, including Jim’s wife, Peggy, and a younger brother, Pat, and his wife, Karen.

A memorial service will be announced at a future date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME
