Angela Denise Ezell Stephens “Angie” went home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2023, in Lake City, Florida. She was 55 years young. Angie is now walking the streets of gold with a
brand new body, no pain, and no suffering. Angie was a true and faithful woman of God throughout all trials and tribulations of her life. Above all, she had her love for the Lord.
Angie was a beloved wife, mother, mamaw, sister, and friend. She could always be counted on when needed. She was born January 5th, 1968 in Palatka, FL to the late Pearl Roberts and Bob Ezell. Angie was also blessed with her bonus dad Jerry Roberts.
Right after her love for the lord fell the love with her best friend, soulmate, life partner, and husband Jay Stephens. Their journey began on November 1st, 1989 and on March 27, 1993,
they became one in the eyes of the Lord. Angie and Jay spent 30 beautiful years building a life and a family together. Good, bad, and indifferent they conquered it all together. The love they
shared will never fade and lasts beyond this lifetime. Angie’s true pride and joy in life were her children, Hanna and Josh Stephens. Being a mother was her number one hobby and favorite thing to do. She would give everything she had for her children and fought through hell and high water to ensure they were cared for. If Angie left anything on this earth it is the love and passion she had for her children. Angie also touched the lives of her grandchildren Lucksi, Joseph, and Alice Pearl. The love and passion she had for them were just as great as the love she gave to her own children. The same could be said for her abundance of nieces and nephews. For many of them, like a lot of others, she was the shoulder to cry on and a hand to hold. Although her true passion was caring for her beautiful family, Angie also loved to hunt and fish with her husband and garden. Just like she nurtured her children she could do the same with almost any plant she came across.
She was proceeded in death by her mother Pearl Roberts, her father Robert “Bob” Ezell, bonus dad Jerry Roberts, and her sister Marie Messer(JB). She is survived by her husband Jay Stephens, her children Hanna Stephens(Marquis) and Josh Stephens. Her siblings Sharon Collier(Walt), David Ezell (Loretta), Steven Ezell (Brenda), Michael Roberts (Toree), Pattie Roberts (Bert), Cathy Stone, and Luca Harvey.
