Alma R. Williamson, 93 of Live Oak and former longtime resident of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center. Mrs. Williamson was born in Jasper, Florida on August 22, 1929, the 4th of 5 children, to the late Lake G. Owens and Ruth Geiger Owens. She lived in numerous places during her late husband’s service in the United States Coast Guard and moved to Lake City following his retirement in 1969. Mrs. Williamson was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Lake City and was recently attending Friendship Baptist Church in Live Oak when she was able. She enjoyed bowling, playing scrabble, reading, puzzles and staying in touch with her family and friends on Facebook. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her parents; 4 siblings; her husband of 56 years, James C. Williamson; and one daughter, Linda Raulerson.
Survivors include two daughters, Terri Williamson Breedlove (Tristan), Lake City and Sandy Williamson Bland, Live Oak; step son, Tim Williamson, Lake City; son-in-law, John Raulerson, Lake City; 10 grandchildren, Jeff Williamson, Rusty Raulerson, Jimmy Raulerson, Mikel Koon, Daryl Goss, Jesica Israel, Mary Breedlove, Laura Breedlove Stakes, Sierra Bland and Landon Bland; 11 great-grandchildren, Alora, Danielle, Michael, Patrick, Isabel, Shaylen, Sandon, Mason, Kaymyn, William, Elizabeth Grey and Deacon; and 1 great-great grandchild, Carter.
Funeral services for Mrs. Williamson will be conducted on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 4:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Matthew McDonald officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Mrs. Williamson will be privately interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
